Recent trip to Lake Albert, France. 24th April 2010 I have fished many lakes in France for a number of years big and small. I can only describe this as a gem of a place, depths of 5-6ft. Arrived on the Saturday morning greeted by the owner Rob with a guided tour of the facilities. 5*. This venue only allows four anglers or exclusive bookings, so no panic to run to the nearest swim as now after fishing here I have every confidance you can catch all over. Well stocked, clean and pleasant surroundings ideal for a relaxing trip and fish healthy hard fighting and can be caught with various methods of bait and placement. Very surprised by the weights as the 1st 3 fish out were over 40lb followed by 30's and 25 plus fish. Weather not being best of conditions "full moon" and spawning certainly slowed things down this week. Would like to thank Rod for his outstanding hospitality.looking forward to going back again as there is uncaught big fish and as said " they can only be accounted for when caught" I've seen them....
